My favorite part is just wandering around and exploring, but I also felt like I couldn't/shouldn't explore every building I came across because I'd have to go back and the people I killed would be reset. One of them that leapt out at me was the "stealth." I don't know if it's my build or the AI, but it seemed like once spotted all the enemies in the building would run at me. There are a couple different reasons why the feeling persists throughout most of the game.
I think my biggest problem with fallout 4 was the constant nagging feeling that I was playing wrong.
